We had a very enjoyable lunch together on 18th January in the Brasserie at the Vincent Rooms, part of a catering college near London’s Victoria Station. The three-course meal, cooked and served by the students, was excellent and was accompanied by much convivial chat.
Subjects covered included:
- The future role of Associates within the Guild. Are we needed and if so, how can we contribute more actively?
- Why should full members become an associate rather than simply leave when they no longer qualify?
These are the kinds of topics which the Guild has wrestled with ever since there has been an Associates category. We hope to have an opportunity to debate them soon with the new board.
