Happy Friday, everyone …

We’ve had lots of fabulous compliments about the Gala Dinner on Monday and massive congratulations need to go to Mary Anne Evans and her team of organisers for putting on such an amazing event. Thank you to all of you who were able to come and many congratulations again to the winners and finalists of the International Tourism Awards and Members’ Excellence Awards. The photos are ready now and you can see them here – a fabulous time was was had by all!

The Board is taking a bit of a breather for a few days, normal Friday Fix service (including Sarah’s lovely way with words!) will resume next week.

Have lovely weekends everyone

Best wishes

“Around the World in 65 Years” BGTW Anthology OUT NOW! Save on P&P Today

We were delighted to launch the BGTW’s 65th Anthology at the Gala Dinner, which hits shelves this week. Thanks to Amelia Island and Pure Michigan, all attendees at the Gala received a copy in their goodie bags, and all contributors have now had their copies sent.

If you’d like to order an anthology of top-notch travel writing and photography, and avoid paying P&P, we have taken a few boxes from the distributor’s warehouse for this purpose. These can be ordered over the next two weeks (£12.99) by emailing charlotte@bgtw.org, with free postage in the UK for up to two copies; for any extras, or international shipping, Charlotte can advise on P&P via email. Once these copies are sold, the best place to order is via Bradt’s official website. Although the anthology is also available in many other stores, Bradt’s direct sales generate more return for the Guild. Thank you again to all the members who contributed —it’s a fantastic and inspiring read!
